“Uzbek Initiative is a global NETWORK of young professionals with good will, whose purpose is to increase the knowledge and understanding of Uzbek society and culture around the world and to empower the community and global-cultural exchange”
The Credo is a set of principles of Uzbek Initiative and every member shall abide by these key rules to join Uzbek Initiative:
With respect to everyone, regardless of race, color, religion, ethnicity, nationality, age, socio-economic status, gender and location around the world, we shall respect local cultures and traditions of any country or city we are based/reside at. We shall foster global cultural exchange between Uzbek and other cultures.
We believe that everyone has an initiative. We encourage organizing events and projects in local communities as an act of Ambassadorship of Uzbek society and culture. We take positive, responsible and professional approach to every action we take.
We acknowledge that Uzbekistan, with its historical significance as a center of Silk Road has linked the East to the West, has always been a culturally diverse region with over 100 nationalities and five world religions. The essence of Uzbek society and culture has always been known for its altruism, hospitality and respect to each other and we shall take these as our core values.
Community projects (hashars) have always been an integral part of team work for Uzbek people. We shall always engage in helping members of our community around the world. We promote projects in the fields of education/science, personal and professional advancement, charity, arts/music, entrepreneurship and development.
Mentorship (aka-uka, opa-singil, ustoz- shogird relationships) is a centerpiece of Uzbek society (mahalla). Therefore, we take Mentorship as key element in empowering the global Uzbek community.
We shall always promote a good will.
